JANE W. BALL, UC ‘69, BSN ‘74, MPH ‘79, DRPH ‘80
Dr. Jane Ball has been a leader within the Johns Hopkins Nurses’ Alumni
Association and JHSON. She received her UC (’69) and BSN (’74) from
JHSON. She also received her MPH (’78) and DrPH (’80) from the Johns
Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Jane worked as a pediatric
nurse and pediatric NP at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After completing her
public health degrees, she directed the Emergency Medical Services for
Children National Resource Center. She also authored books, including
Seidel’s Guide to Physical Examination, Principles of Pediatric Nursing,
and Child Health Nursing. Jane is a consultant to the American College of
Surgeons and Vice President for Nursing and Content Development for
Triaj, a mobile app to guide the care of injured children for physicians and
nurses. In 2020, Jane was elected to her second term as the president of
the JHNAA.
