Annie is an OR nurse who has been redeployed into the COVID Safety
Officer (SO) role since April 2020. She has embraced her redeployment
with great passion and has greatly contributed to the success of the
program and the sustainability of the knowledge and skills of the staff.
She was the first SO Shift Coordinator at Bayview and has been a
consistent leader for the team ever since. She saw her role as more than
just a PPE monitor, instead as a partner, resource, and advocate for the
bedside staff. She is quick to applaud staff for their successes and
continues to adapt to the ever changing needs of the role to be whatever
the staff need most at the time.
