Patricia M. Davidson, PhD, MEd, RN, FAAN
Dean, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing
Patricia Davidson has been a registered nurse since 1980 and
has clinical, teaching, and practice expertise in cardiovascular
science and the care of vulnerable populations. Across her
career, she has been committed to developing innovative
models of person-centered care delivery and evidence-based
teaching. Dr. Davidson is secretary general of the Secretariat of
the WHO Collaborating Centers for Nursing and Midwifery,
counsel general of the International Council on Women’s Health
Issues, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International’s Institute for
Global Healthcare Leadership Advisory Board, and a board
member of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health. She
also serves on the Board on Health Care Services for the National
Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She is deeply
committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and workforce
development and interdisciplinary practice.
Gloria C. Ramsey, JD, RN, FNAP, FAAN
Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Johns Hopkins School of Nursing
Gloria Ramsey promotes and strategically furthers the school’s
values of diversity and inclusion by bolstering JHSON’s
excellence, innovation, and impact within education, practice,
and the profession. She has been a nurse and attorney engaged
in interdisciplinary research/ scholarship related to bioethics,
end-of-life care, and advance care planning for African American
patients and families and persons with disabilities for more than
two decades (Hastings Center, ANA, ABA). Ramsey is an
advocate for engaging racially and ethnically diverse populations
and faith communities for participation in research and
partnering/ collaborating on community-based health disparity
interventions. She is a Distinguished Practitioner of the National
Academies of Practice, past member of the Diversity Advisory
Council of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization,
and member of the American Academy of Nursing and its
Cultural Competency and Health Equity and Bioethics Expert
Panels.
