STRATEGY: Promote a healthcare system that increases access

advocacy at community, national and global levels.
INCREASE THE FOCUS ON HEALTH POLICY IN Increase the contemporary representation of
nurses in health policy and advocacy.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMMING, AND ADVOCACY
AND POLICY ENGAGEMENT. Present a contemporaneous image of nursing
reflecting our value proposition as a critical part of
improving health outcomes.
Increase curriculum content on health policy and
advocacy and focus on strategic faculty
recruitment.
Dr. Jason Farley is a nurse epidemiologist and top researcher
on HIV prevention and HIV-tuberculosis coinfection as well as
other communicable diseases. He develops technology and
health policy to streamline response, eliminate disparities and
stigma, and close gaps in care in the U.S. and abroad.
