Sheilla has a regional and national reputation for excellence in clinical
care and process improvement. She is a member of the Bayview
Infection Control Team. Honored with the 2017 Clinical Practice Award
from the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses, she also got the distinction
of “top nurse” from Baltimore magazine and was presented with the
publication’s 2019 Excellence in Nursing award. She enjoyed over 20
years of bedside clinical nursing and served in the nurse corps of the U.S.
Army Reserve. A staunch advocate of patient safety, she graduated from
the Armstrong Institute Safety and Quality Leadership Academy in 2019.
